Description:
Cascade Process Controls is hiring a PRV Valve Technician that will work along side the Valve Operations Coordinator in the testing, inspecting, and repairing all spring operated and pilot operated PRVs. The Tech will guide the crew in performing work according to manufacture manuals and critical dimension for repair as well as NBBIC and company VR manual. Mentor's technicians in all aspects of PSV related work onsite and in the shop. Performs field work and must demonstrate the proficient performance of all valve repair procedures. Maintains knowledge of ASME, NBIC, and API codes. Teaches/mentors apprentice-level employees to become leads. Tests and repairs all spring-operated and pilot operated relief valves including AGCO, Consolidated, Crosby, Farris, Mercer, Taylor, etc. Services API/ANSI/other valves per customer and valve specifications. Maintains complete familiarity with testing/setting vapor and liquid valves under NBBIC and company VR manual. Follows manufacture manuals and critical dimension for repair. Order parts for upcoming work. Leads activities, including safety training and safety meetings, for all staff. Ensures paperwork/reports are complete and accurate; job tickets submitted for invoicing. Participation/compliance with company safety programs & company policies. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum 2-year experience conducting valve repair, testing, reconditioning, or modification of relief valves. Experience in a lead role is preferred. Proven ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Proven ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel. Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to read manufacture manuals and critical dimensions for repair. Understanding of
ASME, VR & NBIC
regulations. Computer skills, including MS Office, MS Xcel Standard First Aid/CPR with
AED, OSHA
30, and Safeland, with preference for OSHA 500.
