JOB SUMMARY
To assist in the every day functions of the Valve Repair Department while learning every aspect needed to become a Repair Technician.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Dis-Assembly of Valves. Performs sandblasting. Cleans Valves. Inspects Valves Properly documents all information from the valve nameplates on the relief valve to ticket. Paint valves. Tag stamping and properly attaching tag. Sealing & Wiring - finishing of relief valve. Performs shop maintenance. Travels with mobile unit. Climbs up to 100ft. Lifts up to 50 lbs. Wears respirator when required. Inspects Personal Protection Equipment. Satisfactory progress in the Mercer Valve Training Program. Complete all necessary Safety Training. Start SSE Program.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Mechanical Aptitude is a must. Ability to learn quickly. Ability to climb up to 100ft and lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to Travel. Must have valid Drivers License with clean driving record. Ability to pass criminal background check. Must be physically able to perform essential job functions, may need to wear a respirator when required. Ability to accurately complete all documentation required. Good Verbal Communication and Follows Instructions.
