Senior E & I Technician :
Design, develop, and implement electrical control systems for pulp and paper machinery, emphasizing the integration and configuration of Distributed Control Systems (DCS). Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and project managers, to ensure seamless project execution with a focus on DCS integration within pulp and paper mill processes. Create and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts, aligning with the specific requirements of pulp and paper manufacturing and DCS specifications. Program and configure PLCs and HMIs, ensuring compatibility with DCS systems and optimizing control for pulp and paper processes. Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of control systems, with a particular emphasis on DCS functionality within the context of pulp and paper production. Engage with clients in the pulp and paper industry to understand their unique requirements and deliver tailored solutions, incorporating DCS technologies. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, integrating cutting-edge DCS technologies into control system designs relevant to pulp and paper manufacturing. Provide technical support during the installation and commissioning of control systems, with expertise in DCS implementation for pulp and paper mill environments. Bring out the best in yourself. You too will put forward your strengths: Qualifications & Skills Experience in a paper mill or other industrial manufacturing environment preferred Strong troubleshooting skills with in-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including sensors, switches, controllers, instrumentation, transmitters, automated valves, and calibrations Familiarity with industrial communications, robotics, motion control, and AC/DC control power systems Experience with PLC and DCS programming, including the ability to create, monitor, and modify control logic Ability to collaborate effectively with plant personnel, engineering teams, and external contractors to ensure successful project execution Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and manage time efficiently Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and meet deadlines with a sense of urgency Requirements Bachelor's degree in engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or a vocational certificate/diploma in electronic controls, instrumentation, or a related discipline (equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered) Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician in a fast-paced manufacturing environment We look forward to meeting you!
