Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Natural Gas Measurement Technician, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the accurate measurement and safe operation of natural gas systems. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, troubleshoot complex measurement and control equipment, and contribute to safe and efficient energy deliveries. You'll be responsible for maintaining measurement devices, performing equipment repairs, and supporting process safety management initiatives. Your expertise will help optimize natural gas flow, gas quality, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and support the integrity of pipeline operations. This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in Natural Gas Measurement Technology and flow control equipment operations. Duties Install, calibrate, and maintain natural gas measurement equipment including flow meters, pressure sensors, and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems to ensure precise data collection. Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and other automation components. Perform routine equipment repair and preventive maintenance on pipelines, compression stations, and heavy machinery used in natural gas processing. Conduct process safety management (PSM) procedures to uphold safety standards and respond effectively during emergency situations. Operate some heavy equipment such as fork lifts or loaders for measurement maintenance or equipment installation tasks in outdoor environments. Engage in on-call coverage to respond promptly to system alerts or emergencies outside of regular hours. Document all maintenance activities, inspections, and troubleshooting steps accurately in compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools for equipment repair and installation. Strong electrical diagnostics skills with familiarity in programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS). Knowledge of natural gas compression systems, pipeline operations, and petrochemical maintenance practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate some heavy equipment efficiently in outdoor work environments. Understanding of process safety management (PSM), safety protocol adherence, and emergency response readiness. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and data interpretation related to flow rates and pressure levels. Prior experience with natural gas measurement systems is highly desirable. Valid driver's license with the ability to operate heavy machinery; willingness to participate in on-call coverage as needed.
