Competitive (based on experience) What You Will Do Take apart, repair, and rebuild railcar valves Remove and install valves on tank cars and hopper cars Use hand tools and air tools to complete mechanical work Inspect parts for wear or damage and report issues Test valves to make sure they work correctly Follow blueprints and work instructions Keep your work area clean and organized Follow all safety rules while working around railcars What We're Looking For Required At least 6 months of valve repair experience At least 6 months of mechanical or assembly experience Comfortable using hand tools and air tools Able to read basic drawings or instructions Strong attention to detail and safety Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Preferred (Not Required) Rail industry experience Manufacturing or production experience Preventive maintenance experience Willing to work 2nd shift and overtime when needed Work Environment Railcar repair and maintenance setting Work indoors and outdoors depending on task Temperature changes with the seasons Use of safety gear such as boots and safety glasses Why Work With Us?
