Full Job Description SUMMARY:

The Controls Wiring Technician is responsible for the installation of low voltage wiring systems in a construction and job-site environment. This position is ideal for individuals looking to install low voltage wiring and controls systems for HVAC and/or whole building automation systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to read and interpret proposals for Energy Management Control Systems (EMCS) or Building Automation Systems (BAS) Install low voltage wiring, conduit, controllers, and sensors for control systems Ability to read and understand construction drawings, plans, and specifications Request and manage materials and equipment for assigned project Ensure adherence to job specific specs as well as state and local codes Assist with HVAC equipment startups and troubleshooting Test systems after installation to ensure a quality install and setup for inspection Ensure wire sizes, supports, and controllers are correct for the application

Performs all duties with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction Supports Company efforts to meet production schedules and customer requirements Communicates professionally with supervisors and team members to resolve issues

SAFETY:

Follows all Company safety programs and policies Uses required PPE at all times when appropriate Reports unsafe conditions, accidents, or injuries to the Supervisor or Safety Manager immediately Completes all assigned safety training within required timeframes
