• Baylor University (Siemens) TDIndustries United States, Texas, Waco Aug 04, 2026 Job Summary The Building Technician III is a senior-level role responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and training to other Building Technicians while overseeing the operation and maintenance of critical building systems.

This includes HVAC setup, maintenance, and balancing; WFI (Water for Injection); purified water systems; and process equipment. The role involves advanced troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical components in accordance with SOPs, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines. Additionally, the technician manages tool and spare parts inventory, recommends equipment purchases to improve efficiency, and partners with engineers to develop and implement process improvements across facility operations. Essential Duties Performs planned maintenance, repairs, modifications and general facility maintenance tasks in the areas of painting, patching, fixtures, caulking, carpentry, etc. Completes major repairs and in-depth planned maintenance in a primary area of facilities operations and maintenance as well as other facility maintenance services as may be assigned. Offers mentorship and training to fellow Building Technicians as required, fostering a collaborative learning environment. Responds to Facility Service Work Orders from building occupants. Requests may include plumbing, HVAC, lighting, roofing, and electrical service calls. Diagnoses building management/energy management systems for faults and errors. Troubleshoots fire/life/safety, security and other building infrastructures. Observes and complies with all company safety policies. Uses required personal protective equipment while satisfying all work requests. Follows all established corporate and customer safety policies and ensures crew does the same. Collaborates with other technicians to maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems, demonstrating proficiency in interpreting blueprints and schematic drawings. Completes all required paperwork timely and accurately. Takes readings from normal equipment and makes timely entry into appropriate logs. Takes and logs readings from critical equipment and takes appropriate corrective actions before system outage occur. Uses tools and equipment that are standard issue and do not need further calibration or adjustment. Keeps tools and work areas in a clean and orderly manner. Works on and completes all the facility team-based goals. Identifies opportunities for process/system improvements and implements them as they are approved. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED. Technical degree in related field is preferred. Current universal refrigeration license and /or other trade licenses as required. Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience. Principles of carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical work. Principles of heating, ventilation and cooling systems. Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, work effectively under stress, and meet short deadlines. Demonstrates a professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic. Good communication skills (oral and written). Must be punctual and dependable. Must have basic computer skills.
