Summary This is a mid-level position responsible for providing controls support to MEP design teams as well as generating and maintaining libraries of controls documents. The primary focus is to provide controls related engineering support for MEP design teams in the development of building automation and control system designs. Responsibilities:

Design of mechanical control systems in a variety of applications. Development of project and system documentation per industry standards including, but not limited to Specifications and Sequences of Operation. Development of controls specific engineering drawings & diagrams. Development and maintenance of company standards of practice related to controls. Development and maintenance of company standard controls document libraries. Incorporation of industry standards into internal controls design.

Communication (verbal and written) Team collaboration Problem-solving Accountability Technical understanding of HVAC systems and controls strategies. Familiarity with BMS/BAS programming techniques and network design. Familiarity with common controls communication protocols (BACnet, etc.). Familiarity with controls field wiring standards. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar field) from an EAC/ABET-accredited university required or equivalent experience, required.

Experience:

2-5 years (Controls) Familiarity in CAD and BIM tools, including Revit, required. Proven ability to design and develop mechanical control systems, required. Proven ability to interpret and generate controls specific technical documentation, required. Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
