Job Description Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Required to follow all applicable safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures in performance of assigned duties. Is required to participate in all required safety training activities. Is expected to report any unsafe conditions encountered in performance of duties. Installs, maintains, calibrates, troubleshoots, makes program changes and corrections, repairs and overhauls all power house and supervisory systems, indicating, recording, telemetering, and controlling instruments (electric, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic) used to measure and control variables, such as pressure, flow, temperature, motion, force, and chemical composition. Implements a preventative maintenance schedule. Maintains inventory of spare parts and inventory records. Assists outside service engineers. Maintains maintenance and repair records. Reads process and instrument (electric, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic) diagrams. Programs programmable data loggers and controllers (multi-loop ladder and function). Generates hard copy records of ladder logics and files. Performs other duties of a similar level and nature as assigned.
Qualifications Education/Experience/Background:
High School Diploma/GED is required. Associate degree in Instrument Technology, Electronic Technology, Computer Technology or related field.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Communicates effectively via written and oral methods with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and others when necessary. Ability to enter data. Skills in computers and data input devices, email, application and office software. Ability to troubleshoot and repair. Remote and local control systems for HVAC, Gas Turbines, Boilers, Air compressors, Generators and Valves. Ability to troubleshoot sensing devices for pressure, temperature, UV, motion and fluid flow.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
Valid State of Wisconsin Drivers License.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Ability to work in confined spaces and to wear breathing apparatus for confined entry.
