This part-time position involves working independently within a small team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency through meticulous measurement and material handling. The Preparator must be proficient in reading spec sheets, using hand cutting tools, and maintaining quality control in a fast-paced environment. Training and a probationary period of up to 60 days will support new hires in mastering the responsibilities. Responsibilities Cut and prep mixed materials including fabric, leather, and synthetic materials Read and interpret spec sheets accurately Verify measurements prior to cutting Operate hand cutting tools such as scissors, shears, precision knives, and specialty devices Handle a variety of materials safely and efficiently Work independently with strong time management Maintain quality control standards throughout the preparation process Required Qualifications Experience in sewing Preferred Qualifications 1+ years in material preparation Ability to read spec sheets Accurate measurement skills Experience with hand cutting tools Knowledge of various material types Strong attention to detail Effective time management Ability to work independently and learn quickly
