Overview:
CIRTE dba The Chart Academy is seeking enthusiastic, dynamic, and creative Instructor who is comfortable working with teenagers and enjoys staying active. This role Involves a combination of teaching and facilitating fun activities. The Ideal candidatewill be someone with a passion for Sports, Entertainment, and Journalism with the ability to connect with young people to help inspire their creativity. Over the course of our six-week program, you will play an integral role in ensuring that participants are actively involved in the learning process, fostering a positive and enriching environment. You will be required to help participants build out content and design newsletter amongst other duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily program activities related to sports media and entertainment, including sports journalism, basketball fundamentals, and operations. Lead daily work readiness sessions. Develop summer curriculum based on shared framework. Supervise participants during both structured activities, ensuring their safety and engagement at all times. Encourage teamwork, leadership, and positive sportsmanship through both physical and media-related activities. Provide guidance to participants, helping them develop their skills Ensure that all equipment and materials are used appropriately and safely. Communicate effectively with fellow instructors. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Comfortable working with teenagers and engaging with them in both media and sports activities. High energy, positive attitude, and the ability to stay active and engaged throughout the day. Previous experience in coaching, teaching, or working with youth in a recreational or educational setting is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with young people. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must pass a background check.
