Pottery Instructor Description:
Cozy Clay Studio is amunity pottery studio based in Woburn, MA with one-time workshops, 8-week classes, and membership offerings. We are looking for instructors for our 8-week beginner pottery classes that start July 21 and end September 13. Curriculum must include wheel throwing and may incorporate handbuilding lessons. Each class is 2 hours long.
Qualifications:
Prior pottery wheel teaching experience preferred At least 3 years of pottery experience Goodmunication skills and classroom management skills Knowledge of pottery studio procedures and safety precautions Primary Responsibilities Confidence and skill to demonstrate how to use the pottery wheel and throw a cylinder Speak to different parts of the ceramic process (throwing, handbuilding, trimming, firings, glazing) Adapt class demonstrations based on student input and build an 8-week curriculum Maintain the cleanliness andanization of the studio and instruct students to do the same Availability Tuesday 6pm - 8pm Sunday 1pm - 3pm
