You'll be running a classroom, leading kids, and delivering real coding and robotics camps—not just supervising. If you want real experience in teaching, leadership, and working with kids (not babysitting), this is that role. What This Role Is This is a structured, instructor-led summer camp role working with kids (ages 6-15) in coding, robotics, game design, and content creation. You'll be leading or supporting a classroom—not just supervising it. This is not babysitting. There is real structure, real training, real expectations, and real responsibility. We provide the curriculum and training—you are responsible for delivering it and running the classroom. What You'll Do Lead or support week-long camps (Minecraft, Roblox, robotics, coding, etc.) Show up 30 minutes early to set up and be ready Run a structured, on-time, well-managed classroom Deliver lesson plans (training provided) and help students build projects, solve problems, and stay engaged Manage behavior, energy, and transitions throughout the day Keep the room clean, organized, and ready for the next group Communicate professionally with parents when needed Flag issues (student behavior, safety, etc.) to management What Matters Most Reliability
  • If you commit, you show up. Camps depend on it On-time and prepared
  • Ready to go at start time, not walking in late Classroom presence
  • You can hold a room and keep kids engaged Professionalism
  • Parents trust you with their kids Engagement
  • You stay involved, not on your phone or checked out Energy & presence
  • You are actively leading, not sitting back What We're Looking For College students (or strong upperclassmen) Comfortable working with kids ages 6-15 Able to manage a group, not just assist Clear communicator with both kids and adults Comfortable learning and guiding students through tech projects Dependable, steady, and takes responsibility seriously What This Job Is Not Not babysitting Not a "show up and wing it" job Not flexible shift work where availability changes weekly Not a fit if you struggle with punctuality or follow-through Schedule & Commitment (Important) Summer camp season runs June 15•August 28 Camps run Monday-Friday (full-day programs) Daily shifts are typically 8:30 AM•4:30 PM (start 30 minutes early for setup) If assigned to a camp week, you are expected to be there the full week This is not drop-in or flexible shift work We will work with your overall summer availability, but consistency during assigned weeks is required Please only apply if you are available for a majority of the summer

Year-Round Opportunity Strong summer staff will have the opportunity to continue as part-time instructors during the school year, teaching after-school and weekend programs. Why This Isn't a Typical Summer Job Most summer jobs don't expect much. This one does. You'll be responsible for a group of kids, a classroom, and a real experience that parents paid for. You'll have to show up prepared, manage real situations, and stay engaged the entire time. If you do this well, you'll walk away with actual experience—not just something to list on a resume. And if you stand out, there's an opportunity to stay on during the school year. About iCode Ann Arbor iCode is a hands-on tech learning center where kids build real things—games, robots, videos, and projects—not just sit and listen. At iCode Ann Arbor, we're building this from the ground up. This isn't a large, established operation where you blend in. The team is small, expectations are clear, and what you do shows up immediately in the classroom. Kids are here to learn skills they don't get in school. Parents are paying for a real experience. That means the people in the room matter. If you're here, you're not in the background. You're part of what makes it work. Apply Send your resume + a short note with your availability and experience working with kids. If you're dependable, engaged, and ready to lead—not just show up—you'll do well here.
