Job Description

Premiere Western Main Line Philadelphia picture/art framing shop in need of an Art/Picture Framer for our busy shop. The Frame Station Gallery has an almost 40 year tradition of providing our clients top quality custom framing design and craftsmanship. We are looking for a part-time art/picture framer to join our team.
Job purpose:
The purpose of the position is to create/fabricate custom frame designs for clients by crafting mats and frames to agreed upon specifications. Work with clients to provide custom framing solutions/designs. Provides general shop and customer support and service. Works with owner/manager and other team members to ensure all work is completed in a timely and quality manner.
Duties and responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the Master Framer frames art, photos, jerseys, memorabilia, etc. using common art framing tools and supplies to fulfill framing orders. Tools used include but not limited to: Hand tools, Glass cutters, Manual and computerized mat cutters, Pneumatic frame joiner, Guillotine frame chopper, Vacuum press With guidance works with clients on frame design for their art, etc. Communicates with clients regarding their framing order May order and/or receive supplies as needed Uses computerized POS to create work orders Helps with housekeeping of studio and gallery Keeps work area neat and clean Other duties as needed/required Qualifications include: Art or Creative background required Extreme attention to detail Must be able to read and follow work orders Strong work ethic Basic math skills Understanding of color theory and design principles Flexibility in working times and working with different client personalities Must be a team player helping coworkers as well as working independently on projects meeting all deadlines The ability to work in a fast paced environment Good communication skills with team members and clients Knowing that customer service comes 1st!!

$13.00 - $18.00 per hour
