Job Description

Job Description This is a summer season, on-site role for a Camp Instructor located in Arlington, TX. We are seeking an instructor to lead our Coding and Computer Skills camp for elementary school students. The instructor will be responsible for developing the camp curriculum and teaching the course during the week-long program. Curriculum should be designed to introduce young learners to foundational coding concepts and basic computer skills in a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate way. The instructor should have knowledge and experience in coding, computer science, or a related technology field, as well as experience working with elementary-age students. We encourage the use of an interactive online software or coding platform that supports beginner learners and hands-on activities. This position offers a set stipend of $1,000, which includes both curriculum development and instruction for the one-week camp. The dates of our camps will be listed below: 1 week only, with morning and afternoon sessions. June 15

  • This is a 1099 position
  • We are a net 30 institution, like most school districts and public universities our invoices are paid 30 days from receiving. Qualifications
  • Experience working with children
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Enthusiasm
  • previous camp experience a plus
  • Experience in teaching or tutoring
  • Knowledge of special education practices
  • Familiarity with early childhood education principles
  • Proficiency in behavior management techniques
  • Understanding of childhood development stages
