Construction Craft Instructors (3 different profiles needed )(
Either:
Electrical | Heavy Equipment | General Craft) Multiple Openings |
Temporary-to-Permanent Pay:
$30-$45/hour (depending on discipline and experience)
Travel:
70%+ Monday-Friday, home on weekends | Remote ~1 week per month Position Overview We are seeking experienced construction professionals to serve as Instructors across three disciplines: Electrical , Heavy Equipment , and General Construction Craft . These roles combine hands-on technical instruction with apprenticeship program support. Instructors deliver training in classroom, field, and virtual settings, evaluate student performance, support curriculum development, and help maintain apprenticeship program compliance (enrollment, scheduling, tracking, documentation, and ratios). Available Tracks 1. Electrical Instructor Strong electrical / construction electrical background required Experience with power distribution, transformers, troubleshooting, and industrial electrical systems preferred 2. Heavy Equipment Instructor Hands-on experience operating excavators, dozers, utility tractors, loaders, and/or motor graders required 3. General Construction Craft Instructor Solid general craft background required Ideal for experienced craft workers interested in training the next generation Project Locations Based at a project site with travel to locations including: Bogalusa, LA | Claude, TX | Clinton, MS | Canton, MS | Lake Cormorant, MS Proximity to a major airport is a plus. Shared Requirements 6+ years relevant construction experience preferred Some open-shop and/or union experience Ability to obtain and maintain NCCER Instructor Certification (NCCER knowledge is a strong plus) Teaching or training experience in a vocational/technical setting preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Comfortable using LMS platforms and virtual training tools (Teams, Zoom, etc.) Ability to create and deliver training materials Willing and able to travel 70%+ Monday-Friday (home weekends) with approximately one remote week per month Strong communication skills and ability to instruct both in-person and remotely Education Bachelor's degree preferred; significant industry experience will be strongly considered in lieu of a degree. Bilingual skills are a plus. Why This Role? Pay:
$30.00 - $45.00 per hour
