$18 + growth opportunities About Us We are a community-focused pottery studio dedicated to providing high-quality, structured learning experiences—from first-time wheel students to finished glazed pieces. We value creativity, consistency, and an organized studio environment. Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, experienced pottery wheel instructor who is equally comfortable teaching students and managing studio workflow . This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both creative and structured environments. This is not just a teaching role—you will be responsible for maintaining the systems that ensure every student has a smooth, start-to-finish experience. Key ResponsibilitiesInstruction Teach beginner to intermediate pottery wheel classes Clearly demonstrate techniques and adapt to different learning styles Create a supportive, confident learning environment for students Studio Workflow & Organization Track student progress from first class through glazing Label, organize, and manage all student pieces Maintain a clean, efficient, and structured studio environment Clay & Material Management Reclaim and process used clay properly and consistently Monitor clay inventory and studio supplies Ensure tools and equipment are cleaned and maintained Accountability & Ownership Follow and improve studio systems and processes Take initiative without needing constant direction or reminding Ensure no pieces, materials, or steps fall through the cracksQualifications Required:
Pottery wheel experience (comfortable centering, pulling, and troubleshooting)Preferred:
Prior teaching or coaching experience Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Reliable and consistent—shows up prepared and follows through Comfortable managing both creative and operational responsibilities What We Are Looking For (Important) Someone who wants to teach (not just make pottery) Someone who is not intimidated by leading a class Someone who takes ownership of the studio, not just their shift Someone who values structure, cleanliness, and systems What We Offer A supportive and creative work environment Opportunity to grow into a lead instructor or studio manager role Consistent schedule and clear expectations The ability to shape and improve studio systems To Apply Please send: A brief description of your pottery experience Pictures of art experience in all mediums if any Any teaching experience (formal or informal) A short note on why you enjoy teaching others "Applicants must be comfortable leading a small group class independently within their first few weeks."Pay:
