Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Soldering Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, soldering, and testing electronic components and electro-mechanical assemblies with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards while adhering to safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative electronics manufacturing processes in a fast-paced environment. Duties Perform soldering of surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) following detailed blueprints and schematics. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering blueprints to accurately assemble electrical and mechanical components. Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, and other precision instruments to complete electrical wiring, component placement, and assembly tasks. Build electrical panels and electro-mechanical assemblies by following IPC 610 standards for electronic assembly quality. Troubleshoot electrical issues using engineering troubleshooting techniques, test equipment, and schematic analysis to identify faults or defects. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety standards for handling hazardous materials and equipment. Collaborate with engineering teams to improve assembly processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure product quality. Requirements Proven experience in electronics assembly, soldering (including surface mount technology), and electrical wiring. Strong knowledge of PCB design, electrical schematics reading, and interpretation of blueprints. Familiarity with IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies. Ability to use hand tools such as soldering irons, power tools, calipers, and testing instruments like ohmmeters effectively. Mechanical knowledge related to machining, mechanical assembly, and electro-mechanical components. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus but not required. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow blueprint specifications precisely. Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex electrical or mechanical issues. Ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
