Assembler Job Description This role focuses on the manufacturing and assembly of industrial power systems, with a strong emphasis on wiring and assembling electrical components. You will interpret schematics and engineering drawings, use a wide range of hand and power tools, and work on large units that can reach up to 8 feet in height. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in building high-quality electrical assemblies. Responsibilities Assemble industrial power systems according to engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and process sheets. Wire electrical components accurately and neatly to meet quality and safety standards. Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents to complete assembly tasks. Use hand tools and power tools such as power drills, wire crimpers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, hammers, and tape measures to perform daily work. Measure and cut materials accurately using a tape measure and other measuring tools. Work on assemblies that may reach up to 8 feet in height, including standing on ladders as needed to complete builds. Stand for the entire shift while performing repetitive assembly and wiring tasks on the production floor. Follow production processes and instructions to meet daily output and quality goals. Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle tools and equipment safely. Collaborate with team members and leads to troubleshoot issues and ensure assemblies meet specifications. Adhere to all safety policies, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) in a manufacturing environment. Essential Skills Experience in wiring electrical components in a manufacturing, maintenance, installation, or other electrical setting. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and process sheets. Proficiency using hand tools and power tools, including power drills, wire crimpers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, hammers, and tape measures. Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure. High school diploma or GED. Comfort working on ladders and at heights up to approximately 8 feet when required for assembly. Ability to stand for the entire shift in a production environment. Willingness and availability to work a schedule of 6:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday and 6:00am-12:30pm on Saturdays. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in manufacturing, construction, handyman work, HVAC, automotive, or other hands-on trades is a plus. Experience with electrical assembly, soldering, or general electrical work is beneficial. Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with mechanical assembly practices. Interest in learning additional skills such as mechanical assembly, welding, CNC machinery operation, electrical testing, paint line operations, and panel wiring. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed technical instructions. Ability to work effectively as part of a production team in a busy environment. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
