Gilbert, AZ
Onsite Job Description Job Description:
Our team in Space and Defense Group is looking for an Electrical Assembler to join them.
You will report to the Manufacturing Supervisor and will have an onsite work schedule in Gilbert, AZ.
Responsibilities:
Perform soldering in accordance with
IPC-J-STD
on printed circuit boards, printed wire boards, and circuit card assemblies both through hole and surface mount applications.
Assemble chassis and final units using circuit cards, wire harnesses, soldering/crimping tools, and precision instruments.
Perform high-reliability soldering and crimping on complex sub-assemblies, including board-level repairs and jumper wire installations.
Work with multi-pin connectors and assemblies to meet stringent government and customer specs.
Interpret assembly drawings, BOMs, and electronic work instructions.
Follow ESD protocols and maintain certification standards for high-reliability soldering.
Collaborate with engineering to troubleshoot, rework, and improve testing procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and traceability documentation for controlled programs.
Requirements:
5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical assembly and soldering.
Expertise in crimping, medical device assembly, board-level repair, and electronic units.
Familiarity with
J-STD, IPC 610/620
standards, and torque/crimping tools.
Preferred:
NASA 8739
soldering certification.
Experience with avionics components (e.g., circuit card rework, coating, installation).
Ability to read and work directly from engineering drawings.
Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent formal training.
