You will install and wire components such as circuit breakers, contactors, sheet metal, circuit boards, and large-gauge cables, while following detailed work orders, engineering drawings, and safety procedures. The position requires strong hands-on assembly skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a production environment. 1st shift: 6am to 2:30pm $26/hr Responsibilities Assemble large transformers and power supply units according to work orders, assembly instructions, and engineering drawings. Wire transformers and related equipment, including routing and connecting larger cables such as 2 AWG (American Wire Gauge). Install electro-mechanical components including circuit breakers, contactors, sheet metal parts, and circuit boards. Use hand crimpers to create discrete wires and wire harnesses, ensuring secure and reliable terminations. Assemble electronic subassemblies and integrate wire harnesses into larger units. Review assembly instructions, engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOM), and notes to determine correct parts and assembly steps. Follow all safety requirements and safety policies while operating tools and handling materials. Use hand tools and power tools appropriately during assembly and installation tasks. Lift and maneuver assembled units and components weighing up to 50-60 pounds, including units as large as a small refrigerator. Essential Skills More than 5 years of consistent electro-mechanical assembly experience, ideally at an Assembler III level or equivalent. Proficiency in electromechanical assembly for large equipment such as transformers or power supply units. Strong knowledge of wire gauges, particularly American Wire Gauge (AWG), including experience with larger cables such as 2 AWG. Hands-on experience with wire harnessing and crimping, including use of hand crimpers. Ability to work from assembly instructions, blueprints, engineering drawings, and bills of materials (BOM). Experience installing circuit breakers, contactors, sheet metal components, and circuit boards. Competence using hand tools and power tools for mechanical and electrical assembly tasks. Ability to safely lift and move components and assemblies weighing 50-60 pounds. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience assembling power supply units or similar high-power electrical equipment. Familiarity with terminals, pins, lugs, and connectors commonly used in wire harness fabrication. Experience assembling electronic subassemblies for integration into larger systems. Soldering experience is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain an organized work area. Demonstrated focus on safety and adherence to established safety policies and procedures. Why Work Here? Join a production team that values craftsmanship, safety, and quality in every build. You will work in a setting where your experience with complex electro-mechanical assemblies is recognized and utilized on challenging, large-scale projects. The environment supports steady, hands-on work with clear processes, detailed documentation, and opportunities to deepen your technical skills in wiring, harnessing, and assembly. You will contribute directly to the creation of robust power equipment that is built to high standards. Work Environment This role is based in a production environment focused on building large transformers and power supply units. You will work at a dedicated workstation or assembly area using hand tools, power tools, crimpers, and other standard assembly equipment. The work involves standing for extended periods, handling large components, and regularly lifting items weighing 50-60 pounds, including units approximately the size of a small refrigerator.
