00/hr. w2 without benefits Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assembler I to perform repetitive mechanical assembly tasks in a manufacturing environment. The role involves assembling and testing mechanical or electrical components using hand tools, power tools, and simple fixtures while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities Perform repetitive mechanical or electrical assembly tasks with precision Follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and assembly guidelines Assemble components using hand tools, power tools, jigs, and fixtures Maintain consistent quality and productivity standards Conduct basic testing of assembled components when required Follow color coding, wiring, and assembly specifications Record production data and work hours in ERP/SAP system Perform routine 5S housekeeping and maintain clean work areas Support continuous improvement initiatives Identify and report quality or equipment issues to supervisors Ensure compliance with all safety and quality procedures Requirements High School Diploma or GED required 1-3 years of manufacturing or assembly experience preferred Basic mechanical aptitude (training, coursework, or hands-on experience acceptable) Ability to read and understand simple drawings and instructions Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity Ability to follow directions and work in a structured environment Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, noise, dust) Use of hearing protection in high-noise areas when required Ability to operate computer systems and communicate effectively Work Environment Manufacturing and assembly line setting Fast-paced production environment Exposure to industrial conditions including noise, dust, and temperature variation Focus on safety, quality, and efficiency at all times Skills Required Mechanical Aptitude Hand & Power Tool Operation Assembly Line Experience Quality Control Awareness Attention to Detail Teamwork & Communication Basic Computer / ERP (SAP) Knowledge Safety Compliance (OSHA standards)
