This role ensures products meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and functional requirements prior to final testing and shipment. Position is responsible for electronic (RF) top-assembly and system integration using sub-assemblies purchased or made in house. Duties include but are not limited to; installing sub-assemblies and PCB's into system level assemblies, running multi colored and multi gauged electrical wire to various assemblies, cutting and forming semi rigid coax, installing sub-assemblies and PCB's into system level assemblies. Key Responsibilities Perform final ("top-level") assembly of electromechanical systems and equipment. Integrate mechanical structures, electrical panels, wiring harnesses, electronic components, sensors, RF and electronic modules. Read and interpret complex block diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics, and bills of materials (BOMs). Route, terminate, and secure wiring according to electrical standards and drawings. Install and align mechanical components such as panels, brackets, plates, heatsinks, plenums, enclosures, and various types of fasteners. Perform torquing, crimping, soldering, and various mechanical fastening to specification. Conduct functional checks and basic system-level testing. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and make adjustments or repairs as needed. Collaborate with quality assurance, testing and engineering teams, on production and prototype builds, along with process improvements (red lines). Ensure compliance with quality standards, such as IPC-J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610, and safety procedures. Maintain accurate production documentation and inspection records. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or associate degree preferred). 3-5+ years of electromechanical assembly experience. Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Experience with hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments. Knowledge of electrical wiring practices and mechanical assembly techniques. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications IPC certification (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001). Experience in electronic industries Experience with prototype builds and low-to-mid volume production. Familiarity with torque specifications, grounding requirements, and ESD protocols. Leadership or mentoring experience. Work Environment Manufacturing or production facility. May require standing for extended periods. Handling of small and large components. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as required. Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Ability to work in confined spaces or at assembly benches.
Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
