Akkodis is seeking an Assembler for a Contract job with a client in San Diego, CA . The ideal candidate will have experience in electronic assembly, mechanical assembly, soldering, product rework, and manufacturing operations, along with the ability to interpret engineering documentation and support high-quality production activities.
Rate Range:
$16/hour to $30/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Assembler Job Responsibilities Include:
Assemble electronic and mechanical components, subassemblies, modules, and finished products using work instructions, assembly drawings, engineering documentation, and manufacturing procedures. Utilize hand tools, specialized fixtures, measuring equipment, and production equipment to build products that meet quality, performance, and customer requirements. Read and interpret assembly drawings, parts lists, operation sheets, wire lists, engineering change notices, and visual work instructions to support production activities. Perform component preparation, electronic assembly, hand soldering, touch-up, repair, and rework activities on circuit boards and assemblies as required. Inspect products throughout the assembly process, verify workmanship quality, and perform rework activities related to test failures in accordance with established procedures.
Desired Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of two to four years of experience in electronic assembly, mechanical assembly, manufacturing, production, or related technical environments. Demonstrated ability to work from assembly drawings, blueprints, engineering documentation, work instructions, and manufacturing process specifications. Experience performing electronic component installation, circuit board assembly, soldering, rework, and quality verification activities. Ability to use hand tools, measuring devices, material handling equipment, and manufacturing equipment safely and effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience assembling programmable power supplies, electronic systems, power conversion equipment, test equipment, or related technology products. Familiarity with engineering change orders (ECOs), deviations, assembly documentation, and manufacturing process controls. Experience supporting test failure analysis, product troubleshooting, and corrective action activities related to manufacturing operations. Knowledge of IPC workmanship standards, electronic assembly best practices, soldering techniques, and quality inspection procedures.
