Job Summary:

We are seeking 2 skilled Electro-Mechanical Technicians for a 12-month contract position at our Great Oaks facility in San Jose, CA. In this role, you will perform complete mechanical and electrical assembly, cable harness fabrication, and system integration for precision test equipment. Key Responsibilities Assemble mechanical frames, chassis, optical mounts, linear slides, and precision motion stages using engineering drawings and BOMs. Execute point-to-point wiring, cable harness fabrication, routing, dressing, labeling, and connector termination per schematics. Install and wire AC/DC power supplies, PDUs, and PCBAs while strictly following ESD safety standards. Install and align precision spindle/motion components, laser modules, and optical detector assemblies. Perform complete system integration, voltage checks using a DMM, and power-on buyoffs.

Required Qualifications Experience:

3+ years of hands-on electromechanical assembly experience (capital equipment, scientific instruments, or test & measurement equipment preferred).

Education:

High School Diploma/GED + 3 years experience OR Associate's Degree in a technical field + 2 years experience.

Technical Skills:

Proven ability to read schematics, mechanical drawings, and wiring diagrams. Hands-on proficiency with cable fabrication, crimping, soldering, and multi-connector termination. Experience using DMMs, torque wrenches, and precision hand tools. Knowledge of ESD compliance and PCBA installation preferred. JR1

$23.00 - $28.00 per hour
