Job Title:
Electronic Assembler (Solder) Job Description This role focuses on assembling and soldering RF hardware and electronic components to high workmanship standards in a lean manufacturing environment. You will perform precise electronic and mechanical assembly, conduct visual inspections, and use small hand tools to build and support RF microwave test equipment. Responsibilities Assemble RF hardware and electronic components according to defined work instructions and standard workmanship requirements. Perform soldering tasks on electronic assemblies, ensuring reliable connections and adherence to quality standards. Conduct detailed visual inspections of assemblies to verify quality, identify defects, and ensure compliance with specifications. Use small hand tools and basic mechanical tools safely and effectively during assembly and production activities. Follow standard workmanship practices and applicable standards to maintain consistent build quality. Apply lean manufacturing principles in daily work to support continuous improvement and efficient production flow. Support production operations by assembling mechanical and electronic subassemblies used in RF microwave test equipment. Maintain organized workstations and follow all applicable procedures related to ITAR-controlled products and documentation. Essential Skills Hands-on experience with electronic assembly and soldering of RF hardware and components. Ability to perform detailed visual inspections of electronic and mechanical assemblies. Proficiency using small hand tools for assembly and production tasks. Knowledge of standard workmanship practices and the ability to follow detailed work instructions. Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts and their application in a production environment. Experience working with RF microwave equipment or assemblies, particularly in a test equipment context. Understanding of ITAR requirements as they relate to handling products and documentation. Knowledge of and ability to work under J-STD (JSTD) standards for electronic assembly and soldering. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in both electronic and mechanical assembly within a production environment. Experience in RF microwave assembly or testing, especially related to test equipment. Comfort working in a structured, standards-driven environment with documented processes and procedures. Work Environment This position operates in a manufacturing and production setting focused on RF hardware and electronic assemblies. Work hours follow defined shifts, with schedules such as 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or an evening/night shift from 1:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. You will work at an electronics assembly workstation using small hand tools and equipment aligned with J-STD and ITAR requirements. The environment emphasizes lean manufacturing, organized work areas, and adherence to documented processes and quality standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Torrance, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
