Job Description

Overview We are seeking experienced Wire Harness Assemblers for the manufacture of complex wire harnesses used in military aircraft. This position requires previous experience in wire harness manufacturing/assembly related to aviation. Responsibilities Constructs wire harnesses and cables by cutting sorting, color-coding, measuring, stripping, crimping, soldering, and routing various lengths, types, and gauges of wire, heat-shrink, and other related materials. Operates tools and equipment such as wire strippers, crimpers, solder iron, wire identification and cutting machines, heat guns, and associated tools. Tests wire harnesses for continuity and proper functioning. Completes paperwork, electronic version, associated with job assignment. Ensure all assemblies and detail parts are free of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and non-conformance issues. Inspects and ensures materials, components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, tools and product configurations are in compliance and conformance with engineering drawings, company quality policies and applicable industry standards. Effectively provide supervision and work instructions to junior Assemblers and Finishers. Effectively work with co-workers and management in problem solving and exploring and implementing best practices in our operations. Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs in job turnovers. Skills/Qualifications 3 years of experience, preferably in aviation Proof of U.S Citizenship required Experience reading and understanding electrical assembly drawings and written work instructions. Excellent soldering skills. Adept at wire harness assembly utilizing schematic, and wiring diagrams. Experience using dedicated contact crimping tools for attaching connector contacts. Experience handling shrink tube, cable shields including foil and braid. Experience in wire splicing and installing shield terminators. Experience assembling circular connectors, back shells and coax connectors. Comfortable with computer applications including MS Office (Excel, Word) is a plus. Strong work ethic and the flexibility to work in a dynamic environment. Must be willing to work extended hours, weekends and Holidays when needed to support delivery. High level of manual dexterity and detail orientation. Good oral and written communication skills; able to read, comprehend and create written and verbal instructions in the English language.
