Job Title:
Electrical Assembly Technician Job Description Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Assembly Technician, where you will engage in detailed electro-mechanical assembly of highly complex control boxes and panels. This role involves working with PLC Motor Controls used across various manufacturing environments, providing a unique opportunity to customize motor drive units and engage in non-repetitive tasks that require building different units each time. You will work independently from detailed blueprints and schematics, and Palmer will provide all necessary hand tools. Responsibilities Perform expert assembly tasks with manual and power tools. Lay out basic to intermediate control panels. Install mechanical components and wire electronic components with an understanding of function. Understand and apply sizing charts, including components spacing, wire sizing, torque ratings, and fuse ratings. Stripping and labeling wires and customizing motor drive units. Essential Skills Experience in electrical wiring (1-4 years). Panel building experience. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Proficiency with rivet guns, sheet metal, and soldering. Knowledge of PLCs and control panels. Additional Skills & Qualifications Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Ability to operate manual and power tools. Understanding of control panel layout and component installation. Why Work Here? Work Environment The workspace is a small to mid-sized electro-mechanical assembly shop with individual workspaces for each technician. The shop is equipped with tools and parts necessary for assembly tasks. Operating hours are from 7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, with a casual dress code of jeans, t-shirts, and steel-toed shoes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Englewood, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
