Electrical Assembler Position Description HABCO is seeking a hands-on Electrical Assembler to support the build and integration of complex electro-mechanical systems used in aerospace ground support equipment. In this role, you will work from schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to assemble, test, and troubleshoot a wide range of electrical components and assemblies. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a high-mix, low-volume environment where attention to detail, craftsmanship, and problem-solving are essential. You'll have the opportunity to contribute directly to mission-critical hardware while collaborating with engineering and production teams. Responsibilities
- Assemble and wire electrical and electronic components, subassemblies, and control panels
- Perform wire termination, cable/harness routing, and installation of components (relays, transformers, resistors, capacitors, etc.)
- Test, troubleshoot, inspect, calibrate, and repair electrical assemblies
- Support panel layout and electro-mechanical system builds
- Assist with system integration, documentation, and testing of industrial controls
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
- Help calibrate control system transducers and related equipment
- Verify work meets quality standards and performs rework when necessary
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition Qualifications
- 3+ years of electrical assembly experience (aerospace or industrial manufacturing experience preferred)
- Hands-on experience with control wiring, panel assembly, and wire termination (experience with electro-mechanical systems or control panel layout preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
- Proficiency with standard electrical assembly tools and equipment (drills, taps, etc.)
- Rigid conduit bending and installation experience in control & motor wiring panel layout
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Familiarity with applicable electrical standards, including knowledge of NEC
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or GED (technical training or certification in electrical/electronics preferred)
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel; ERP system experience preferred) This position requires the use of information that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
