This is an exciting opportunity to work in a technical manufacturing environment producing high-performance microwave cable assemblies used in advanced communication and electronic systems. As an Assembly Technician, you will prepare, assemble, and inspect high-precision cable components while following detailed process documentation and customer specifications. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has strong attention to detail, and takes pride in producing quality products. What You'll Do Prepare and assemble high-precision cable components and assemblies Follow detailed work instructions, process documentation, and customer specifications Inspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracy Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Enter information and navigate processes using basic computer systems Work collaboratively with team members while also completing tasks independently Participate in safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives Adapt to changing priorities and manufacturing processes Identify and proactively address issues when they arise Meet production and quality expectations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment What We're Looking For Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to follow detailed instructions and established procedures Basic computer skills for data entry and process navigation Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards Willingness to learn new processes and skills Flexibility to work overtime as needed Preferred Qualifications Experience working with very small parts or components At least one year of manufacturing or assembly experience Experience with precision assembly Familiarity with continuous improvement practices or 5S standards Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required One year of manufacturing or assembly experience preferred, particularly experience working with small components
Schedule & Requirements First Shift:
6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Newark, Delaware location Must be willing to work overtime as needed Must be able to actively participate in safety, quality, and process improvement initiatives Why Join Placers? Pay:
