Job Description:
Assemble, test, troubleshoot avionics equipment for the purpose of ensuring the function and providing the customer with reliable and quality repair - a variety of avionics equipment to meet industry standards and specifications.

Responsibilities:
Ensure the quality of work performed meets FAA data and the manufacturers or industry's specifications
Properly handling all parts while in the repair process through the Avionics Shop until work is completed
Preserving all units or parts during process through the Avionics Shop until work is completed
Ensure that the Avionics Shop is kept clean and orderly
Ensure all Avionics Shop equipment and tools are in a serviceable working condition
Assemble electronic components, circuit boards, and wiring harnesses for avionics equipment according to technical schematics and assembly instructions.
Perform high-quality soldering of components on PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards) with attention to detail and adherence to IPC-A-610
standards.
Conduct functional testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies to ensure compliance with performance and safety standards.
Inspect assembled components for accuracy, identifying and correcting any defects to maintain quality standards.
Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, test results, and inventory usage.
Adhere to company and regulatory standards, including FAA, EASA, and CAA requirements for aviation components.
Adhere to all Southeast Aerospace company policies, safety guidelines, and code of ethical conduct. all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
In adhering to company polices, all employees are subject to random drug and alcohol tests
Subject to random drug and alcohol testing under DOT and FAA regulations
Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Any and all other duties assigned by the supervisor
Provide turn over for next technician or shift.
Document all calibrated tools and equipment used in the process and or return to service of a Work Order task.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
An associate degree or certification in electronics or a related field is preferred.
Current IPC-A-610
certification is required due to job specifications.
Current IPC-J-STD-001
certification is required due to job specifications.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronic assembly, preferably in the aerospace or avionics industry
Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast pace environment and as part of a team
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.

Strong soldering skills and familiarity with hand and power tools
Ability to perform basic electronic testing and troubleshooting.
Demonstrate manual dexterity (must be able to hold certain components with one hand while moving tools around with the other hand)
Aptitude for fine, detailed mechanical work and a high level of accuracy and precision
Ability to manage more than one project at a time
Must be goal oriented and able to complete tasks within company standards
Basic computer skills
Acceptable background check for required matters
US Persons as defined in 22CFR 120.15 for required matters.
Working conditions for the Avionics Technician will often be an avionics/instrument shop laboratory environment.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and working with small components.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Manual dexterity (must be able to hold certain components with one hand while moving tools around with the other)
Constant hand manipulation of small components and assemblies
Sitting for long periods of time
Frequent use of hand tools and other repair equipment
Use of chemicals for cleaning, lubricating and paint
