Job Description

About the Role Swarf Unlimited designs and manufactures advanced coolant filtration and chip management systems used in high-performance CNC machining environments. We are seeking a build-focused Electrical Assembly Technician to integrate industrial control systems across our equipment platforms. This is a specialized build position working exclusively on new equipment—it is not a maintenance or service role.
Operational Environment Multi-Warehouse Coordination:
Operates efficiently across a single-site campus with multiple warehouses to manage the build and staging of various equipment platforms.

Quality Standards:
Upholds an elite standard of craftsmanship; we require exceptionally clean, logical, and professional panel layouts that reflect the reliability of the systems we ship. Duties & Responsibilities 40%
Control Panel Assembly:
Builds and wires PLC-based control panels (CLICK platform) and contactor/relay-based motor control systems following UL508-style practices. 20%
Field Wiring & Integration:
Installs and terminates field wiring for 24VDC control circuits, VFDs, and industrial sensors such as pressure, level, and flow meters. 15%
Documentation & Planning:
Interprets complex electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to plan neat, logical, and professional layouts. 15%
System Testing:
Supports system startup and functional testing to verify electrical safety and operational reliability before shipping. 10%
Facility & Quality Coordination:
Maintains a clean workspace and manages hardware movement across our multi-warehouse site to meet production targets.
Physical Requirements Lifting:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly during the assembly of heavy industrial components.
Mobility:
Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and reach into tight enclosures or equipment frames within a machine shop environment.
Coordination:
Dexterity for precision wiring and the use of hand tools for terminating small-gauge sensor wires.
Ideal Candidate & Experience Note:
This is an Industrial role; we require electrical experience with machinery and industrial tools.
Industrial Expertise :
Understands control logic at a practical level and is proficient with 24VDC systems and motor starters.
Building Mindset:
Enjoys the process of creating a new, functional system from the ground up.
Standards-Driven :
Familiar with UL508-style wiring practices and takes ownership of the final product quality.
Growth & Compensation Pay:
Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
Type:
Full-time, Monday through Friday.
Pay:
$22.00 - $30.00 per hour
