Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Electrical Panel Assembler to join our Production team. This position assembles and wires electrical control panels and related equipment used in industrial automation systems. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable working with hand and power tools, and able to accurately follow electrical schematics, panel layouts, bills of material, and assembly instructions. Key Responsibilities Assemble and wire electrical control panels, back panels, enclosures, and related electrical subassemblies. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, bills of material, and work instructions. Install components such as terminal blocks, relays, contactors, circuit breakers, disconnects, power supplies, transformers, drives, PLC components, DIN rail, and wire duct. Measure, cut, strip, label, route, and terminate electrical wire and cable. Install terminals, ferrules, connectors, lugs, and other electrical termination devices. Drill, tap, and prepare mounting locations as required by panel layouts and drawings. Inspect completed assemblies for correct component placement, wiring, labeling, workmanship, and conformance to specifications. Perform basic continuity or electrical verification when trained and authorized. Identify and report drawing, component, material, or assembly discrepancies. Maintain accurate production documentation and a clean, organized work area. Follow company safety, quality, PPE, electrical safety, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
Qualifications Required:
Ability to read or learn to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts. Ability to accurately use common hand and power tools. Basic mechanical and mathematical skills. Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Ability to perform detailed, repetitive assembly and wiring work. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work independently after training and as part of a production team.
Preferred:
3 to 5 years previous electrical panel assembly, industrial electrical assembly, machine wiring, or related manufacturing experience. Experience reading electrical schematics and engineering drawings. Familiarity with industrial electrical components, including terminal blocks, relays, contactors, motor controls, PLC components, and drives. Experience with wire preparation, crimping, labeling, and termination. Vocational or technical training in electricity, electronics, industrial maintenance, automation, or a related field. Tools and Equipment Typical tools and equipment include wire cutters and strippers, crimpers, ferrule tools, torque tools, drills, tapping tools, label printers, common hand tools, measuring instruments, and basic electrical test equipment. Training will be provided for company-specific equipment, procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards. Physical Requirements This position requires regular use of the hands and fingers for detailed assembly and wiring work and may involve prolonged standing or sitting, reaching, bending, kneeling, and repetitive hand and arm movements. Employees must be able to safely move components, panels, tools, and materials and occasionally lift or move items weighing up to approximately 50 pounds. Mechanical assistance or team lifting is used for heavier, oversized, or awkward materials. Work Environment Work is performed primarily in an industrial manufacturing and electrical assembly environment. Employees may work around hand and power tools, drilling equipment, sharp edges, metal chips, electrical components, manufacturing noise, and material-handling activities.
