You will ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. You will use your hands and/or machines to do the job with greater precision. You must have good technical knowledge and possess great manual dexterity. Ability to read and take verbal instructions and follow them. The goal is to produce complex outputs by putting together smaller components. Responsibilities Process components into an assembly using fine motor skills and good visual acuity Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process Maintain equipment in good condition Keep records of production quantities and time Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts Check output to ensure highest quality Solder Through hole components to Printed Circuit Boards (experience preferred / can be trained) Use General Electronics Lab Equipment Multimeter Power supplies Operate CNC Machinery (to be trained) Operate Semi-Automated tests (to be trained) Use a computer to upload firmware to controls (to be trained) Qualifications Experience as Electronics Assembly Technician preferred but not required Follow directions and pay close attention to detail General computer literacy Eagerness to learn Good communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to use tools (e.g. clamps) and machines (e.g. presses) High school diploma will be appreciated Frequently asked questions What does an Electronics Assembly Technician do?
