Job Title:
Integration / Electronics Technician Job Description This role focuses on assembling advanced self-driving vehicles and their sub-assemblies within a structured Manufacturing Quality Management System (QMS). The Integration / Electronics Technician follows detailed build documentation, supports the creation and refinement of assembly processes, and ensures high standards of quality and safety. Training is available through on-the-job mentorship and traditional classroom sessions to support ongoing skill development. Responsibilities Assemble cutting-edge self-driving vehicles and their complex sub-assemblies in accordance with documented procedures. Work within the Manufacturing Quality Management System (QMS) and contribute feedback to improve build documentation and processes. Uphold rigorous safety standards to maintain a secure and productive work environment. Meet internal deadlines while working independently with minimal oversight. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of manufacturing processes by identifying opportunities for efficiency and quality enhancements. Assist with the assembly of wire harnesses by following detailed work instructions, drawings, and diagrams. Perform basic wiring tasks, including cutting, stripping, crimping, labeling, and routing wires. Support the installation of wire harnesses into vehicles or system assemblies. Perform visual inspections to verify that workmanship and quality standards are consistently met. Use basic hand tools and test equipment such as multimeters and continuity testers to support assembly and troubleshooting activities. Identify and report defects, damage, or discrepancies to sr technicians or supervisors in a timely manner. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in compliance with facility standards. Follow all safety, quality, and procedural guidelines throughout daily work activities. Essential Skills Proficiency in hardware, assembly, and electromechanical systems. Experience in wire harness assembly, including working from work instructions, drawings, and diagrams. A minimum of 2+ years of experience supported by technical trade school or an equivalent educational pathway. Familiarity with ISO-9001 or other standardized process environments. IPC training and certification, or equivalent practical experience. Knowledge of IPC standards including IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, andIPC-7711/7721.
Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) certification. Ability to use basic hand tools and test equipment such as multimeters and continuity testers. Strong attention to detail and ability to perform thorough visual inspections. Capability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet internal deadlines. Additional Skills & Qualifications Technical trade school education or other equivalent technical training. Prior experience working within a Manufacturing Quality Management System (QMS). Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and work instructions. Experience contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment. Comfort working in standardized and process-driven environments aligned withISO-9001
principles. Work Environment This position is 100% on-site and involves working in a structured manufacturing environment focused on quality and safety. The role requires regular use of basic hand tools and electronic test equipment such as multimeters and continuity testers, as well as interaction with build documentation and standardized procedures under a Manufacturing Quality Management System (QMS). The workspace emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety and procedural guidelines. Team members benefit from on-the-job mentorship and classroom-based training opportunities, and lunch is provided during the workday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Pittsburgh, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
