Job Description Joining Collins Aerospace isn't just about finding a job; it's about embarking on a journey to redefine the future of aerospace technology. As a Test / Assembler I you will be at the forefront of complex mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly, testing, and fabrication operations. You will take on a comprehensive range of tasks, ensuring precision and efficiency in both standard and non-standard environments. Your expertise will drive the continuous flow of work, ensuring high-quality production and adherence to safety and performance standards.
What You Will Do:
Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions to ensure accurate assembly. Operate hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment, and light equipment efficiently to perform assembly tasks. Maintain inventory of product in assigned workstations, ensuring materials are readily available for ongoing operations. Perform quality work checks, identify product defects, and accurately record identified defects for corrective action. Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products based on engineering specification changes to meet quality standards. Adhere to all quality standards and established safety procedures, ensuring compliance and a high standard of work. Maintain a clean and safe work area, promoting efficiency and safety. Lift up to 25 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation, ensuring safe material handling.
Qualification You Must Have:
Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline.
