Job Title:
Assembly Technician Job Description This role focuses on assembling lift trucks and mechanical components in a high-quality, production-driven manufacturing environment. You will install key mechanical systems, perform inspections and testing, and ensure all products meet established standards while following detailed work instructions, diagrams, and blueprints. Responsibilities Assemble lift trucks and mechanical components within required production times while meeting quality and safety standards. Install mechanical parts such as drive axles, power trains, steering columns, hydraulic tanks, brakes, tires, and seats. Inspect parts, subassemblies, and materials for defects or deviations from specifications and take corrective action as needed. Test and adjust assembled components to ensure proper function and performance. Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and efficiently during daily tasks. Follow detailed work instructions, diagrams, and blueprints to complete assembly steps accurately. Maintain quality documentation and records in accordance with production and inspection requirements. Perform basic preventative maintenance on tools and equipment to keep them in safe working condition. Maintain a clean and organized work area by performing regular housekeeping tasks. Collaborate with team members on the assembly line to meet production goals and resolve issues promptly. Essential Skills Proven experience working in a manufacturing or factory setting. Ability to perform repetitive physical work, including standing, lifting, bending, and using tools throughout the shift. Proficiency using hand tools and power tools safely in an assembly environment. Ability to read and follow work instructions, diagrams, and blueprints. Experience with assembly line work and mechanical assembly tasks. Skill in inspecting parts and subassemblies for quality and accuracy. Ability to use a tape measure and other basic measuring tools accurately. Comfort working in a team-oriented production environment with defined output targets. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience assembling lift trucks or similar mechanical equipment. Background in wiring or basic electrical assembly within a manufacturing setting. Familiarity with hydraulic components and systems. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards. Ability to perform basic preventative maintenance on tools and equipment. Willingness to learn new assembly processes and adapt to updated work instructions. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Berea, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $18.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
