Job Description

We are seeking a Soldering Technician to support the assembly, modification, and repair of electronic components and assemblies. The ideal candidate will have experience performing precision soldering, working with PCB assemblies, and interpreting technical documentation. This role requires strong attention to detail, steady hand skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
Perform hand soldering and rework of electronic components, including through-hole and surface mount (SMT) parts Assemble and modify printed circuit boards (PCBs) and cable assemblies according to specifications Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions to ensure accurate builds Inspect solder joints and completed assemblies for quality and compliance with IPC standards Troubleshoot and repair defective assemblies or components Maintain tools, soldering equipment, and workstations in proper working condition Perform tasks such as wire stripping, tinning, cable routing, and component placement Conduct continuity testing and basic functional checks using appropriate test equipment Document work performed and maintain accurate production records Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project timelines and quality expectations Skills /
Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with soldering techniques (through-hole and SMT preferred) Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 preferred) Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and assembly drawings Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail Experience with hand tools, microscopes, and inspection equipment Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus

$21.00 - $30.00 per hour
