Electronics Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician who will wire and build electrical control panels, junction boxes, and subassemblies according to customer requirements. The role requires the ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and specifications. Responsibilities Wire and build electrical control panels, junction boxes, and subassemblies per customer requirements. Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and bills of material. Drill or tap holes to mount control units or provide openings for components, wiring, or instruments. Utilize a variety of small hand tools, including wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers. Complete point-to-point wiring and install a wide variety of electronic components, including PLCs, relays, lights, and switches. Red-line documentation as necessary to initiate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) through Engineering. Perform operations such as deburring, grinding, and sawing, and operate hand pallet jacks to move material within the plant. Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets. Willingness to work overtime as needed. Essential Skills Ideally 2+ years' experience in control panel building, wiring, reading schematics, and electrical diagrams. Understanding of electrical currents. Basic hand tool experience. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to speak, read, and write basic English. Additional Skills & Qualifications Technical Certificate in Electrical Controls is desired. Some type of leadership capability is desired for Tech 2 roles. Why Work Here? Work Environment The position is available on 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM with a 6% differential. Working conditions are typical for a manufacturing environment and require the use of safety equipment, including eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, safety shoes, and hardhats. Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted, and safety shoes are mandatory throughout the manufacturing plant. Certifications such as lock out/tag out and fork truck certification are necessary, with other personal protective equipment required for specific tasks like drilling, tapping, deburring, cutting, testing, and lifting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
