- Lead 1st and 2nd
Shift SUMMARY:
Battery Assembler Leads 1st and 2nd shift will work as part of a team that is responsible for assembling an entire product or component of a product. Leads are responsible for ensuring that the Battery Assembler?s assigned to them perform all tasks in the assembly process and rotate through all of them. Leads are encouraged to provide input and feedback to engineers and/or Supervisors and Managers to strive towards continuous improvement.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Ensure Battery Assemblers rotate through all the tasks required in a particular production process
- Responsible for ensuring the final assembly of cables, battery packs, or electro-mechanical assembly for their assigned team.
- Adhere to and maintain workmanship standards set forth by the organization.
- Verify time and attendance of Battery Assemblers; assure that all employees maintain adherence to the time and attendance policy and are part of a productive and engaged workforce.
- Participate in continuous training, including but not limited to cross training to all three divisions.
- Use lead free solder on PC boards.
- Adhere to Aved?s safety protocols regarding personnel protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Can confidently oversee a small group of Battery Assembly employees during the course of daily activity and help guide them through their responsibilities.
- Ability to read and write English and comfortably speak English throughout the course of each workday.
- Ability to pay attention to the minute details in a work instruction; must be able to read and understand all work instructions written and explained in English.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools.
- Proficient knowledge of measuring devices including vernier/caliper.
- Can perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Able to adapt to change in the workplace.
- Ability to work at a sustained pace and produce quality work.
- -Can comprehend basic technical topics.
- Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned.
