Job Description

Brimrose is looking for Electro-Optics Technicians to help us grow our rapidly expanding team of professionals. Enjoy paid on-the-job training and learn a valuable skill in the process. Experience in electronics and/or photonics is a major plus. Based in Hunt Valley, MD, Brimrose is at the cutting edge of technology innovation, producing high-quality components for a variety of commercial and governmental applications, including NASA Moon and Mars programs, as well as for prototype development for our R D/New Product team. We offer rapid opportunity for advancement, as well as a welcoming, collegial work environment.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Build, test, and troubleshoot electro-optic components.
  • Build circuit boards that require surface mount soldering, circuit board assembly, and wire harness assembly.
  • Perform various tests: collect/analyze data and maintain test records.
Requirements:
  • Ability to interpret and implement electronic/optical schematics.
  • Ability to use oscilloscopes, multi-meter optical spectrum analyzers, and optical power meters.
  • Ability to use of basic hand tools, soldering tools, and other assembly tools.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
  • Experience in wiring, soldering operations, and surface mount soldering.
  • Experience in using oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers considered a plus.
  • Hands-on experience in electro-mechanical parts and assemblies desirable.
