28343 Position Summary The Panel Build Technician is responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing industrial electrical control panels and electronic subassemblies used in industrial systems. This includes interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials; mounting and connecting components; and ensuring panels meet quality, safety, and performance specifications. Key Responsibilities- Assemble and wire electrical control panels following schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
- Mount, connect, and secure electrical/electronic components (relays, breakers, PLCs, power supplies, VFDs, sensors, terminals).
- Cut, strip, crimp, route, and bundle wires to meet wiring and workmanship standards.
- Conduct continuity, functional, and safety checks on completed assemblies.
- Inspect work for quality and labeling accuracy
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and BOMs; maintain as-built documentation.
- Operate hand tools and power tools (drills, strippers, crimpers, torque tools).
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and QA inspectors to resolve build discrepancies.
- Support material handling, receiving, kitting, and general shop activities when needed.
