Job Title:
Mechanical Assembler
  • $18•20/HR + OT•1st Shift Job Description We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to assist in the construction of various sized control panels.
The assembly process is divided into distinct stations, including Prep, Layouts, and Wiring. This role involves working with electrical and mechanical components to ensure high-quality assembly and functionality. Responsibilities Electrically assemble, wire, and route components according to work orders and build instructions. Use hand tools and cordless power tools to complete electrical and mechanical assemblies. Perform point-to-point wiring, terminations, crimping, and basic electrical connections. Read, understand, and follow work orders, assembly instructions, and build documentation. Verify proper wire routing, labeling, and connections per specifications. Perform basic electrical checks to ensure assemblies are complete and functioning correctly. Maintain an organized workspace and properly store tools and materials. Communicate issues, missing parts, or discrepancies to supervisors or team leads. Follow all safety standards and company procedures during assembly operations. Learn to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams as part of ongoing training. Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying potential assembly or quality issues. Essential Skills Ability to use power tools and hand tools. Experience in electrical wiring and assembly. Ability to read a tape measure and mechanically inclined. 2-3 years of assembly experience. 1 year of electrical assembly/wiring experience (training provided). Capability to understand work orders/instructions and eventually learn schematics. Ability to lift 50lbs occasionally. Own and use a set of hand/power tools, including a screwdriver set, cordless power drill, standard hammer, 25 ft tape measure, stiff ruler, basic hand tools, wrenches, ratchets, sockets, pliers, and utility knife. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with wiring sensors, transformers, and IR plates. Why Work Here?
