Job Description

CNC Systems Electromechanical Assembler Location:
Wixom, MI 48393
Pay Rate:
$24.00 - $29.00 / hour
Employment Type:
Direct Hire /
Permanent Travel Requirements:
Up to 25% About the Role Join a production team where precision isn't a buzzword—it's how we build. You'll assemble the electrical and mechanical systems that power CNC milling and turning machines, working to exacting tolerances and following complex schematics. If you thrive on meticulous work and seeing a machine come to life, this role puts you at the heart of it. A Day in the Life Your day starts with the latest build sheet and drawings. You select harnesses and lay out the route across control panels, terminal blocks, and electrical enclosures. With schematics in hand, you connect motors, sensors, and encoders to control systems, terminating each wire cleanly and verifying the path against diagrams. Before a panel is ever closed, you validate the work—performing continuity tests and insulation resistance checks to confirm every connection is sound. You'll then mount CNC control units—Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi—into machine cabinets, securing and dressing cables to spec.
Documentation guides your pace:
you read blueprints, electrical schematics, and assembly drawings; follow SOPs and quality checklists; and record parts, steps, and measurements as you go. Final inspections confirm the assembly meets company and industry standards. Teamwork and Safety You collaborate closely with engineering to resolve build questions, sync with quality on inspections, and coordinate with manufacturing on throughput. Your work area stays clean and organized, and safety procedures for both mechanical and electrical assembly are followed to the letter.
What You Bring Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; a technical certificate or Associate degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related discipline is preferred.
Experience:
2+ years in precision mechanical or electrical assembly; background with CNC or industrial equipment is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Hands-on ability with standard hand tools, electrical crimping, soldering, and wire stripping. Fluency in reading mechanical drawings and electrical schematics. Comfort using multimeters, torque tools, calipers, and micrometers. Basic understanding of CNC machine operation and components is a plus.
Core Competencies:
Excellent manual dexterity, strong attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication. Physical Requirements Lift up to 40 lbs. Stand or sit for extended periods. Perform repetitive tasks that require precise manual dexterity. Occasional bending, kneeling, and reaching.
