Electronic Assembler Job Description This role focuses on assembling, soldering, and testing circuit boards and flex circuitry to meet strict quality and production standards. You will work with automated equipment, inspection tools, and microscopes to ensure that every product meets technical specifications and industry standards. Responsibilities Assemble electronic components and circuit boards with a high level of precision and attention to detail. Perform soldering on electronic assemblies in accordance with established quality and production standards. Operate automated machines to manufacture flex circuitry and ensure they run efficiently and safely. Use Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems to inspect products coming off the machines and identify defects or irregularities. Utilize a microscope to inspect, touch up, and rework defects on circuit boards and other electronic assemblies. Follow detailed technical instructions, diagrams, and work instructions to complete assembly and inspection tasks accurately. Inspect parts and assemblies to ensure compliance with relevant standards and internal quality requirements. Troubleshoot basic issues on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies and perform necessary corrections or rework. Support surface mount technology (SMT) and electrical assembly processes as needed. Handle wiring and cable harness assembly tasks to ensure correct connections and reliable performance. Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle electronic components and equipment with care. Participate in required training and certification programs and apply learned standards consistently in daily work. Essential Skills Experience using a microscope for inspection, touch-up, and rework of electronic assemblies. Hands-on experience with soldering electronic components and circuit boards. Ability to follow technical instructions, diagrams, and procedures accurately. Strong understanding of electronic components, circuit boards, and basic electronics. Experience with electronic assembly and electrical assembly processes. Familiarity with inspection methods for electronic parts and assemblies. Ability to identify defects and perform rework using appropriate tools and techniques. Basic troubleshooting skills for PCBs and electronic assemblies. Comfort operating automated machines used in electronic and flex circuitry manufacturing. Attention to detail and commitment to meeting quality and production standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications Exposure to IPC and J-Standard practices for soldering and electronic assembly. Experience with Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment. Familiarity with SMT (surface mount technology) processes. Experience working with wiring, cable harnesses, and soldering assemblies. Prior involvement in inspection of parts and quality control activities. Willingness to complete training and certification in applicable industry standards. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakeville, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
