Job Title:
Assembler Job Description This role focuses on assembling wire harnesses using large schematic and blueprint boards in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment. You will work with cables, connectors, and basic tools to build high-quality harness assemblies according to detailed specifications and color-coded diagrams. Responsibilities Assemble wire harnesses on large schematic and blueprint boards according to detailed instructions. Harness and route cables to build complete wire harness assemblies. Braid wires neatly and consistently to meet quality and safety standards. Read and interpret schematics and blueprints, including color-coded layouts, to determine the correct placement of each wire and cable. Connect wires and cables into various types of connectors accurately and securely. Use basic hand tools and power tools to tighten, screw, fasten, and connect parts on the schematic board. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while working in a fast-paced, highly productive environment. Move along the schematic board and stand throughout the shift to complete assembly tasks. Follow all workplace safety procedures and proper tool-handling practices. Keep the work area organized, clean, and free of unnecessary materials to support efficient production. Essential Skills At least 6 months of mechanical or electronic assembly experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred. Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints. Mechanical assembly skills, including working with small parts and components. Basic wiring and cable handling skills. Comfort using basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to stand for the entire shift and walk back and forth along the schematic board. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and visual instructions. Capability to work productively in a high-output, time-sensitive environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience with wire harnessing is a plus. Familiarity with color-coded wiring systems is advantageous. Ability to adapt to different shifts as needed. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position operates in a fast-paced, highly productive manufacturing environment where you will stand for the entire shift and walk back and forth along large schematic boards. The facility is bright and updated, providing a clean and organized workspace. You may listen to music or podcasts with one headphone while working, in accordance with workplace guidelines. Standard shift options include a first shift from 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and a second shift from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday. The role requires consistent on-your-feet activity, regular use of basic hand tools and power tools, and adherence to all safety practices while working around assembly equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mankato, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $20.00/hr.
