Job Title:
Assembler Job Description This role involves assembling mechanical, electrical, and electronic components, sub-assemblies, and complete assemblies for standard and custom products. You follow detailed drawings, specifications, and schematics, using prescribed procedures and methods to build high-quality assemblies that meet strict inspection standards. The position requires precise soldering, careful adjustment, fitting, and alignment, as well as consistent completion of daily and weekly Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks. Responsibilities Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electronic components, sub-assemblies, and complete assemblies according to detailed drawings, specifications, and schematics. Follow prescribed procedures and methods to ensure consistent build quality and adherence to production standards. Adjust, fit, and align parts and assemblies to meet inspection and quality standards. Perform soldering of connections to the appropriate standards, ensuring reliability and compliance with documented requirements. Use work orders and blueprints to plan, organize, and execute assembly tasks accurately and efficiently. Operate and handle tools, equipment, testing devices, and instruments required for assembly and inspection. Perform daily and weekly Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks with accuracy and consistency to maintain equipment and work area readiness. Support final inspection and checks by producing assemblies that meet all quality and performance requirements. Develop and maintain dexterity, assembly techniques, and familiarity with designs, materials, tools, and equipment over time to achieve proficiency and production targets. Collaborate with team members and follow established processes to maintain a clean, quiet, and safe production environment. Essential Skills Minimum of 6 months of prior assembly experience. Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings, blueprints, specifications, and schematics. Experience working with work orders in a production or manufacturing environment. Basic mechanical and electrical assembly skills, including adjusting, fitting, and aligning components. Ability to perform soldering or strong interest in learning soldering techniques (soldering experience is a plus). Capacity to follow prescribed procedures and methods with attention to detail and quality. Willingness and ability to perform daily and weekly Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks accurately. Vocational or high school education or equivalent. Ability to develop the skills, dexterity, and assembly techniques typically acquired over approximately 5,000 hours of experience. Strong focus on meeting inspection and quality standards in a production environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Vocational or technical training related to assembly, electronics, or manufacturing is beneficial. Previous experience with soldering in a production or electronics environment is an advantage. Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, or electronic components and sub-assemblies. Comfort working with testing devices and instruments to verify assembly quality and performance. Ability to work effectively on different shifts, including second and weekend shifts. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Willingness to learn trade techniques and procedures through on-the-job training. Why Work Here? Work Environment You work on an open production floor with great lighting, designed to support detailed mechanical, electrical, and electronic assembly work. The environment is very clean and quiet, allowing you to concentrate on precision tasks such as soldering, fitting, and alignment. The facility operates multiple shifts, including a first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, a second shift from 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday, and a weekend (fourth) shift from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday through Sunday, with current needs on second and fourth shifts. You perform your work using standard assembly tools, equipment, and testing devices, while following structured processes and TPM routines in a well-maintained and orderly setting. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of North Mankato, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $51125.00 - $65368.00/yr.Competitive Compensation:
