Job Description

Northrop Grumman is seeking a skilled Assembler 2 to join its manufacturing team in Plymouth, MN. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in electronic assembly, mechanical assembly, hand soldering, quality inspection, and manufacturing production environments . The successful candidate will perform a variety of assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies, including modules, circuit boards, panels, frames, drawers, and cables. The role requires working from technical drawings, diagrams, layouts, and work instructions while utilizing hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and testing instruments. Key Responsibilities Assemble electronic and mechanical components, assemblies, and subassemblies Perform precision assembly of modules, circuit boards, panels, frames, drawers, and cables Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, layouts, and assembly instructions Utilize hand tools, power tools, jigs, saws, and soldering equipment Conduct continuity checks and verify assembly functionality Perform quality inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and standards Disassemble, modify, rework, repair, and reassemble assemblies as required Support prototype and experimental assembly testing activities Follow manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines Collaborate with production teams to achieve daily manufacturing goals Required Qualifications High School Diploma or
GED IPC J-STD-001
Certification 1-3 years of hand soldering experience 1-3 years of manufacturing or production assembly experience Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of manufacturing experience 5+ years of hand soldering experience Experience with inspection, rework, and repair of electronic assemblies Knowledge of soldering tools and equipment Ability to read and interpret technical documentation Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications Preferred Skills Electronic Assembly Mechanical Assembly Hand Soldering IPC Standards Continuity Testing Rework & Repair Quality Inspection Production Manufacturing Cable Assembly Circuit Board Assembly Electronics Manufacturing Why Join Us?
