Soldering Assembler Weekly Pay $21-26/hr (Based off experience) 1st
Shift:
6AM-3:30PM Job Description This role performs a wide range of production assembly tasks on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies, including modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. You will work from diagrams and drawings to build, solder, inspect, and, when needed, rework and test assemblies, ensuring they meet defined quality and performance specifications. Responsibilities Perform production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies, including modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Interpret and follow diagrams, drawings, and layout instructions to assemble components accurately and efficiently. Set up initial layouts and use hand and power tools, jigs, saws, and related equipment to complete assembly tasks. Perform hand soldering of electronic components on printed circuit boards (PCBs), including surface mount and through-hole components, with fine pitch soldering as required. Assemble and solder components using techniques appropriate for SMT (surface mount technology) and through-hole assembly. Make continuity checks on work in process and on completed assemblies to verify proper electrical connections and functionality. Conduct quality inspections on processing lines in accordance with established quality specifications and standards. Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated operating conditions. Identify and repair defective components or solder joints, performing component repair and rework as needed. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, following established procedures and recording any deviations or rework performed. Collaborate with team members and follow instructions from engineering and production support to resolve assembly or quality issues. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety and quality guidelines. Essential Skills High school diploma or
GED. IPC J-STD-001
certification. Approximately 3-5 years of experience in hand soldering, including inspection and rework or repair using various soldering tools and equipment. At least 1 year of experience in hand soldering or assembling electronic components. Ability to read and interpret diagrams, drawings, and assembly instructions. Proficiency in hand soldering on printed circuit boards, including surface mount and through-hole components. Experience performing continuity checks on electronic assemblies. Basic knowledge of electronic assembly processes and quality standards. Ability to use hand and power tools, jigs, and related assembly equipment safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive and non-repetitive tasks with consistent quality. Experience with fine pitch soldering and component repair. Experience working with SMT (surface mount) and through-hole soldering processes. Experience using Microsoft 365 tools for documentation or communication. Ability to work with experimental or prototype assemblies under simulated operating conditions. Strong problem-solving skills to identify and correct assembly or soldering issues. Why Work Here?
