    Production Assembler
  • Job Description
  • The Production Assembler works in a climate-controlled assembly department building small electronic components for a variety of finished units. You read and follow detailed work orders, use hand and power tools, and perform basic computer-based tasks to complete production and inspection activities accurately and efficiently.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Assemble small electronic parts and components according to work orders and production instructions.
+ Read and interpret work orders, diagrams, and written instructions to ensure correct assembly processes and specifications. + Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to assemble, fasten, and adjust parts. + Operate basic production and assembly equipment as needed to support manufacturing output.
  • Essential Skills
  • + Ability to read and understand work orders, instructions, and production documentation with strong reading comprehension. + Ability to pass required benchmark testing with a minimum score of 70%, including achieving 100% on the reading comprehension portion. + Experience with general production and assembly tasks, including handling small components and following standardized processes.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Experience in general labor roles within a manufacturing or production facility. + Skills in packaging, packing, and labeling products in a production environment. + Familiarity with operating basic production machinery and tools beyond hand tools

  • Work Environment
  • The role is based in a climate-controlled, clean, and well-maintained manufacturing facility focused on electronic assembly.
You work in an assembly department handling small electronic components, using hand and power tools, basic production machinery, and computer-based systems. The position allows you to either sit or stand while performing your tasks, depending on your preference and production needs. You are required to wear company-supplied smocks and ESD (electrostatic discharge) equipment to protect sensitive electronics and maintain safety standards.
Multiple shifts are available:
a first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, a second shift from 3:45 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday, and a weekend shift from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday through Sunday, with 36 paid hours for 36 hours worked. Shift differentials apply for eligible shifts, and the environment emphasizes consistent processes, safety compliance, and teamwork.

  • This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, MN.
  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
